Specialised in Event Design since 1990. Since 1994 I’ve been visualising under the company name JL Visuals. Up to 2006 visuals were created with pen and marker. In 2006 I switched to drawing digitally on a Wacom Cintiq, using mainly SketchUp for the 3D design and to select different views, and Photoshop for the creative touch and atmosphere.
The advantage of this workflow is the flexible communication and cooperation with the client, as everything, right from the first sketches onward, is digital, and alterations can be made during the design process. While at the same time the work retains a personal look and feel. The challenge remains the same: to achieve the best possible result given the briefing, time and budget.
Working is not restricted to the office desk, I also enjoy working at the clients location.
